My partner was transferred here 6 months ago and since being there I have been extremely concerned about his welfare. The staff seem to not care, they offer no support groups, no activities, no help at all. I tried talking to the doctors to express my concerns but nothing has got better, I'm still very concerned but it's very hard to talk to anyone who could help. They've taken so much from the both of us to the point we're seriously depressed. Would not recommend anyone going here

We are very sorry that you have had this experience of the service and would like to assure you we take all concerns very seriously. We have recently held a Service Improvement Meeting which all service users were invited to attend. This included discussion around how we can further improve activities provision on the unit. We are taking forward the suggestions proposed and some of these have already been introduced. We are also pleased to announce that a new Occupational Therapist will be starting shortly on the unit and are confident this will have a significant impact on the service user's experience. There is a carer's support forum available within the service and details of how to access this can be provided by the unit. If you would like to discuss this or any other matter further please contact Mr Odell, the Clinical Manager, on 01245 315850
