  1. Review titled Poor patient care

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Bhadradavi Induchoodan - Posted on 06 March 2023

I sought medical attention for severe ear pain during the operating hours of a walk-in center. However, I was informed that they were unable to accommodate me without any inquiry about my condition. Consequently, I had to resort to seeking treatment at the emergency department. The lack of attention and care provided was disappointing, and I would have appreciated if the healthcare professionals had at least asked about my situation and offered guidance if they were unable to admit me. Empathy in such situations can go a long way in improving the patient's experience.

  2. Review titled reception requires customer service

the initial experience of being there is so off-putting, you feel comfortable and guilty just turning up - one of the receptionists today was so unfeeling, and rude even from the registration process .

  3. Review titled Poor Attitude

Rated 1 star out of 5

I attended with my daughter 9pm who was very unwell. I had tried my GP, NHS111 and had no luck, we went to the walk in centre to be told rudely by the receptionist that they were not seeing children after 9pm as it’s unlikely they would be seen and to come back tomorrow. I said she was really sick and the receptionist continued to drink her tea and chat to the other receptionists! We went to A&E where my daughter was diagnosed with a condition that if left untreated could have caused brain damage! Kindness goes a long way

  4. Review titled Complete lack of effort

My wife was referred down and was told she had an appointment at 18:20, after waiting for 50 minutes and seeing absolutely everyone else getting seen including at least 10/12 people arriving after us we were told by reception ‘yeah sorry don’t know why you haven’t been callled, but one doctor has gone on break and the other is with a patient’ which was a lie as we were sat right at the entrance and had watched everyone in out, so wife has a chest infection and feels horrendous but now still can’t get any medicine as she was too I’ll to sit there any longer, and when I said we would be leaving to reception the reply was a smug ‘yeah ok we try our best’ couldn’t be further from the truth

  5. Review titled Appalling lack of service and care.

Rated 1 star out of 5

I visited the walk in centre on 27/6/22. The receptionist was very efficient and friendly. She took my details and told me that I would be seen by triage. After approx 45 mins someone - a doctor? - announced that adults would not now be seen. We were told to leave. This was at 6:20pm. The centre is open until 10pm. Before visiting the centre I checked on the website and it said that it wasn't very busy - the website is apparently 'live'. I also checked again whilst I was there - again the website said not very busy. I then had to pay to exit the car park. We were told to go to A and E - adding to the pressure there! Absolutely appalling service and care.
