My daughter has an eating disorder, she first was referedinto CAHMS in January 2021, they lost her urgent referral so after month ofwaiting and chasing she was finally seen in Aril/May. so far she hasnt hasany real support, they at first asked her to go into CAHMS and weekly checked her weight, height and ECG for her heart. she then after a few months saw a doctors who abrupted approach made my daughter not want to speak to him and not return to CAHMS, when i brought this up in CAHMS i was told that is his manner and they get lots of complaints about him. she then continued to get ECG, height and height check, always in our working day with no flexibility in appointments. still no counselor etc, they kept telling us that she was close to hospital admission but still no help, other than taking her height and weight. after a year from a urgent referral and see them weekly for them to take her height and weight and never being able to speak to anyone other than the receptionist we got a family worker. family work has been awful, they have forgotten appointments, cancelled then, re arranged them, change the address without telling us. Now our daughter refuses to go back to CAHMS, attempted suicide and we have to pay to go private, £250 per session but she receives the support that she should have got at CAHMS. what a waste of a service and resources.

My daughter had an appointment today which we were text reminded about. When we attended there was no-one there!! The appointment prior to that was cancelled by text half an hour before but we had already travelled to the Centre. It has been over 6 weeks since her last session and she is struggling to manage. The one telephone number available for the service just rings and rings? This is completely appalling service and I want to make a formal complaint
