My elderly Mum has just spent a week at the Grange . She was extremely well cared for, loved all the food she was given and said the staff couldn’t have been kinder, more gentle and caring and always preserved her dignity . When I visited they were always welcoming to me and could not have been more helpful with regard to any concerns or questions I asked. I was welcomed at any time of day . Thanks to everyone involved in my Mum’s care .

I worked at the grange for 2 weeks from 20 feb to the 6march 2024. There was high negativity with staff due to being over worked. There is no real induction although the company says it is provided. This was not the case. On my shadow shifts i carried out the same work as a paid support worker but did not get paid. I worked 2 x 8hrs for no pay but a lot of work. I was not shown how to input data into the computer or how to use the rota cloud system that calculates my hours worked. I took these issues to the director and was told i was dismissed. After working 48hrs i will receive approx £30 as my uniform will be deducted even though i have returned it & my shadow shifts will not be paid, the cost if my Dbs will also be taken from my wages. There were no issues with my work, i worked with the best of my ability. I found that bew employees took the blame for anything that went wrong during the shift. The patients are being over looked due to an over worked staff team which created an over all sense of negativity. I have never experienced such a poor care environment as i did when working at The Grange in Scunthorpe.
