ds homecare have been outstanding from the moment of contact. Manager who runs the company has the most professional, caring, compassionate attitude in which runs right through the company down to the care providers. The carers whom were caring for my wife were out of this world, professional in every aspect of their job role. Nothing was too much, they went above and beyond at every visit to our home. Without them the last few months of my wife's life would of been very different. They provided the best care which kept my wife comfortable and dignified at all times. When caring for my wife and being inside our home, they were friendly and welcoming, kind and compassionate, they listened, advised and supported my wife, myself and our wider family. They went above and beyond at all times, and we are ever so thankful. Special message to all who looked after my wife. Thanks for being fantastic, thanks for showing us that we can trust carers, thanks for your dedication and loyalty and support over the last couple of months.

First use of carers as my mum is on end of life! Carer turned up for the first time and had no id badge or name badge on. Told us abruptly she was only here for half and hour, even though paperwork stated an hour. She belittled family there, was rough with mum, she was very demanding. Left mum distressed and it took us 2 hours to calm her down. We had to repeat the process ourself to calm her down. This morning the carer hasn’t turned up at all. I think this place needs inspecting soon. Will not be using any carers at all.

Dear Sonia, We are deeply sorry to hear about your recent experience with our service. What you’ve described falls far short of the standard of care and compassion that every individual deserves. Please know that we take your feedback with the utmost seriousness. Following your complaint, we carried out a full investigation into the matter, including the conduct of the carer who attended. All of our carers are expected to wear visible identification and follow the care plan with professionalism, empathy, and respect. We found that this expectation was not met, and we sincerely regret the impact this had on your mother and your family. As a result, we addressed your concerns immediately. A formal apology was made, flowers were sent to your mother as a gesture of our remorse, and the matter was dealt with internally. The carer in question is no longer employed with our company. Regarding the missed call, we acknowledge there was a misunderstanding around the scheduling. At the time, the morning visit was not listed on the rota for the requested time, though we can confirm a carer did arrive, in full uniform and wearing an ID badge. We understand how critical consistent and timely care is, and we have reviewed our rostering process to prevent any future discrepancies. Once again, we are truly sorry for the distress this caused. Would highly recommend this company, looked after my mum so well until the end, staff was so professional couldn’t do enough for my mum or family if I ever need carers again in the future I would definitely want ds homecare Thank you so much for all your hard work
