Review titled Coud be improvment
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 14 May 2025
After taking my wife into AandE with what confusion with what I assumed was an infection. All the tests were carried out which didnt come up with any answers. The diagnosis was rapid onset dementia. She was then moved onto a normal medical ward where she did nothing but wander up and down didnt sleep which was not addressed also did not eat properly. She spent an whole month in that ward in my opinion to the detriment to her wellbeing. She is now in a Nursing home they are going to have to sort the sleep problem which I feel should have addressed earlier. I think there should be somewhere more suitable for dementia patients that dont require medical treatment.

Review titled Very good service at Minor Injuries Unit
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Guy Turner - Posted on 19 July 2024
Following a fall, which damaged my hand, went to Arrowe Park MIU. Was seen promptly, assessed and sent for X-ray. Did not have to wait long, very efficient, nurse gave me a splint/support for my hand, instructions and said Arrowe Park hospital would be in touch regarding a possible fracture. She phoned the following day to confirm a fracture had been identified and the next day Arrowe Park made an appointment. By that time I had returned home to Wiltshire. I would like to commend the people at the MIU for the speedy and efficient service. I would have no hesitation in recommending this unit.

Review titled Appointment
by A roberts - Posted on 17 March 2024
I arrived at the pain clinic 15 minutes before my appointment. The receptionist was not their a note on the window said to go in and wait in the waiting room. This I did my appointment time at 1pm came and went. 2 pm I went to find someone, I had sat their for over an hour. I have the far park ticket with time and date as proof. I spoke to receptionist on my way out and explained the situation. Later that next week I received a letter saying I had not attended the appointment and now have been discharged back to gp. I have waited over a year for this appointment. My first appointment was cancelled as I was on my way to the hospital due to staff illness, this was my second attempt to attend an appointment. Not a easy task when you are in chronic pain. I am so disappointed and would value a response to this review
