  1. Review titled Neurophysiology - Autistic patient superb care.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Andy - Posted on 14 July 2023

I received exemplary, first class care and support throughout my appointment process with Neurophysiology at Queens. All reasonable adjustments were considered and provided and the staff from the clinic admin team to the Dr and nurse who undertook my nerve conduction studies explained things clearly as they went along but without being overbearing and treating me like a baby due to a lack of awareness of autism. They communicated clearly and effectively and provided care and support which was befitting of genuine caring health professionals during the Nerve Conduction Studies process. More often than not, the National Health Service get communication and care of people with autistic spectrum conditions horrifically wrong; however, at Queens today and during email communications prior to today, they led the way of how appropriately and sensitively interacting with, dealing with and providing treatment for a patient with some minor needs should be done. I have a neurologist appointment here in September and I am hoping for similar. Thanks to all staff at neurofizz today!

  2. Review titled Extremely Helpful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I visited the x-ray department of the Nottingham City hospital and found the care outstanding, due to the very cold weather i was unable to open the drivers side door and had to enter and exit the car using the passenger side this was not only very difficult but also painful, the staff treated me with respect and were very understanding, after a glass of water i was taken to x ray there i met the staff very pleasant and caring. On exiting x ray i met a member of staff who was concerned about me being able to get into my car safely, this staff member went beyond the call of duty. So i would like to say a special Thank You

Hi There Thank you for taking the time to leave such fantastic feedback of our X – ray department at City hospital. Our staff always go above and beyond for their patients so for them to get such recognition is great. I will pass your kind comments on to the radiology manager now to cascade to the team. We would also like to take this opportunity to wish you well in your recovery.

  3. Review titled QMC A&E department Nottingham is broken

Rated 1 star out of 5

I was told by 111 operators to go to A&E I waited for 12 hours, only to be sent home feeling worse than ever, its 50/50 if I end up back in hospital in the next few weeks now the Dr even told me that, the QMC wore me out, they are more interested in throwing people out than treating people, I watched 4 security guards throwing out 1 homeless man in the cold, i do understand that the hospital is not a shelter but have some respect for human life please, if you make any kind of complaint you are labelled as aggressive, these people have a god syndrome if you dont beg them you wont get treatment, it feels like a lottery depending on who you get, the Dr´s were really good and very professional but the rest of the staff not so, some of the nurses are arrogant rude and aggressive in bed side manner, a little humility goes a long way, I have used medical services all over the world, Nottingham is by far the worst in terms of overall performance, the QMC A&E department is broken, maybe its the culture in QMC A&E but they must understand the patients don't owe them anything they are there for medical treatment they are sick and worried about their health and they are entitled to a decent level of treatment by law, I know this revue won't mean a thing in terms of how people are treated in the future but its the only way I can have my say about how I was treated and how I was made to feel at the QMC A&E department.

  4. Review titled Sexual Health Services (Gu Medicine)

Rated 5 stars out of 5

As an "ethnic minority" LGBT man, I was really concerned of going to the clinic and discuses my symptoms with the staff. However, the staff there where very helpful and non judgemental. I met two physicians there (in two different occasions) and they both were very helpful. The male physician (can't remember his name) was very helpful; not only talked to me about my health condition, but provided me with more general advise on how to have a protected/safe sexual life, and offered me a PrEP supply. The nurses also where very helpful and understanding. It made feel comfortable to see the nurse wearing Pride/Rainbow lanyard.

Thank you for your amazing and positive feedback. How lovely to hear that you felt so well supported in this way. At NUH it’s our aim to be inclusive and to display this where possible, you noticing the pride lanyard shows just how we do this even in the smallest of ways and how it makes a difference to all. I will pass this comment onto the team as they will be glad to hear you received such great care. Thank you again for your feedback
