  1. Review titled Excellent Treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by David Riddle - Posted on 23 August 2023

I was admitted to Kettering Hospital on the 22nd August 2023 for a Hernia operation and would like to thank all involved for my excellent treatment. When I arrived I was greeted very warmly and politely. My details were taken and the forms completed in a very thorough and professional way. These details were rechecked by all members of staff visiting my bedside to explain the operation process to me. They were all very courteous and friendly. I felt very secure and impressed with the amount of time they spent with me to ensure I was fully aware and understood the process. By the time I was called I was feeling very relaxed and well cared for. In theatre, the operation team were equally very efficient and worked together in friendly and very professional way. After care in the ward was of course thoughtful and supportive. Great job from a great all round team, a credit to the hospital. Thank you all.

  2. Review titled Very poor patient service

Rated 1 star out of 5

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the care and service I received during my recent visit to your Accident and Emergency department. As a patient who experienced a severe anaphylactic reaction, I expected to receive prompt and compassionate care. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by poor patient service and a lack of communication from the staff. Despite the urgency of my situation, the staff members displayed a complete lack of responsiveness and failed to effectively communicate with me. Furthermore, it was particularly distressing to be told that I needed to book in first before any action could be taken, despite collapsing right in front of the receptionist. In emergency situations, it is imperative for the staff to prioritise patient well-being and demonstrate empathy and professionalism. It was disheartening to witness the receptionist's lack of concern, as they showed no urgency in seeking immediate assistance or providing the necessary care. Even after collapsing within the department and having dangerously low blood pressure, I was met with indifference from the triage nurse

  4. Review titled caring staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I visited the hospital this morning with what could be a serious ongoing complaint. I was first assessed within 5 mins of checking in, and was into my second doctor/stage within 15 mins of arrival. I swiftly moved through all the doctors/nurses I needed to see and had various tests, waiting the longest for blood test results which was only an hour anyway! The Doctors and Nurses listened and cared. I left feeling that I had been looked after well, and was informed that I would be receiving after care/tests which they would sort out shortly - something that apparently had been over looked for yrs in my case by various hospitals. I could not fault Kettering General Hospital on this visit, and thank you to all involved.

  5. Review titled Good care and after care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was sent to A and E for urgent care after a Gp referral then admitted as a patient to Clifford ward, the care and support can not be faulted after a few days and I was sent home with care from the ICTteam, all nurses and hca staff, junior doctors and consultants have provided exceptional care and I can not thank you all enough, I have had to use the service 4 times this year and each time the care given to me has been above any expectations the only criticism is the waiting times other than that it’s a 10 / 10 thank you all so much for the dedication, commitment and hard work

  6. Review titled Breast Unit was flawless

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by HMT - Posted on 17 June 2022

From the moment I walked through the treatment centre doors, to walking out again, every single member of staff was so attentive, kind and caring. I was made to feel at ease, and would like to give a massive shout out to Mandy, who really made me feel less embarrassed and anxious. The receptionist, the consultant, radiologist, and cleaner were all smiling, and took their time to explain things clearly. I felt incredibly safe and looked after. The whole unit was well laid out, clean and worked really well. I was seen very quickly, I didn’t have to wait around long at all. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart, for making my first experience in the breast clinic a positive one.
