  1. Review titled Poor service and doctors bodging

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Robert Cheyne - Posted on 15 March 2024

Attend a and e for a suspected broken ankle which turned out to be badly sprained, swollen, and bruised to which the doctor wraps a thin bandage which I explained to him it won’t do as I will constantly be putting new ones every 15 mins as he did not tape or offer to secure it properly apart from tucking it in on its self I asked would it be better to be braced and he point blank said the nhs don’t do braces which is a lie as he had one in the draw then changed his mind so I sat up the hospital from 10 in the evening till 6:30 in the morning to not even come away with an nhs prescription which I pay for anyway that’s exactly why I would recommend bupa over the nhs £50 a month to have a better quality of doctor not one that just thinks a bandage fixes all it wasn’t even a compression bandage

  2. Review titled Hideous discharge procedure

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Trish - Posted on 10 March 2024

I had intended to leave a 5 star review until I experienced my discharge. Around 9 pm I was taken to the “lounge” having been swopped into another patients bed and she mine with a possible change of linen. I had planned for my son to collect me when the pharmacy had readied my meds which was said to be on Sunday. However the “lounge” had the appearance and feeling of a cross between a warehouse and morgue, I called my son to collect me immediately which he did, leaving without my meds.I just felt really sorry for the really elderly people who perhaps did not have a phone and/or helpful son. Suffice it to say all of the other staff were absolutely wonderful with the exception of one catering lady whom I had reason to complain about. My complaint was expertly ,professionaly , and speedily resolved by a nurse and her superior to my great satisfaction.

  3. Review titled Great care by AEC

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 March 2024

I attended AEC on 25/2/24. I received great care by the health professionals but the receptionist was extremely rude and dismissive. I went up to the desk to state that I had returned from X-ray . The receptionist did not bother to lift her head from her computer screen nor make any eye contact with me but responded in a very curt and dismissive manner . Her attitude is unacceptable.

  4. Review titled Amazing Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sophie - Posted on 09 March 2024

Every experience I have hade here has been amazing. Most recently my daughter who is 4 broke above her arm and elbow. The surgeon came in at 1am to do surgery and was in first thing to see her and speak with us. The care was amazing even had a play therapist to give toys. Her outpatient care was outstanding and I have nominated a member of staff for an award she made my child feel safe and cared for. The team at the plaster area were amazing my daughter is in awe of them. They made so much time for her when I know they are extremely busy. The surgeon and doctors were amazing and made us feel like we were priority at a very scary time. Organised and professional I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. My hope is that feedback reaches the staff as they really deserve to hear it

  5. Review titled Outstanding Care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by dorothy schooling - Posted on 11 February 2024

Attended A&E today after my husband was blind in one eye for a period of time. The care from the moment we entered A&E was outstanding. It was full and very very busy, but all staff showed a professionalism and care that left us in no doubt that he was in safe hands. Thank you Darent Valley

  6. Review titled Grateful for outstanding care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 February 2024

I recently had to visit the Early Pregnancy Unit, unfortunately it was bad news and I needed a surgical procedure. Every member of staff that I encountered was friendly, comforting, compassionate and reassuring. I had 2 visits and was told exactly what the next steps were. Nothing was too much trouble and I feel the care I was given has made the whole process a little easier. In 2016 & 2018 I had my daughters in the maternity ward, again the care we received was fantastic. Thank you for all your hard work and making a sad time bearable.

  7. Review titled Medical staff, especially my doctor.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

    by MR M M ALI - Posted on 18 February 2024

First ever review for NHS service which is purely because the medical staff were really good, especially my doctor, Dr A (not allowed to give full name). He is a senior doctor and showed great care and personality. I felt assured and all the doubts I had was being taken care of. Naturally wait times in A&E are quite long (5-6 hours for me), but I got the medical support in the end. Thanks to the nurses for being sweet and caring and my doctor for being a role model.

  8. Review titled Appalling discharge

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 January 2024

I had a bad fall and badly broke my humerus and shoulder, told I would be discharged on Tuesday but no TTOs ready, Told I would be discharged the following day, told to hurry up despite not having no breakfast or wash. Taken to discharge lounge and TTOs still not ready. In tremendous pain, I rang my GP asking for pain killers to be dispensed. Rudely told to keep quiet, despite the lounge being quiet and three members of staff sitting on computers. Told I could go and the medication and discharge summary would follow. As of yet they haven’t arrived, so just as well I rang my gp as my daughter has collected them from the chemist! Totally lack of communication and organisation.

  10. Review titled Poor organisation

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 13 January 2024

Attended an appt at AEU at 930am for iron infusion. Had to wait 4 hours for pharmacy to issue medication. This is an unacceptable amount of time to wait for a 15 minute procedure. This was a planned appointment so there is jo excuse for the medication not being ready or efficiently dispensed. I understand this is common practice so clearly needs reviewing. We paid £8 for parking for a 15 minute procedure and have to attend next week for another infusion, so will loose another day due to incompetence of dispensary process.
