Calling Finchley Number and it gives you a long list of other options then transfers to Edgware who give you another list. If you press an option it rings 5 times then cuts you off ! If you do get through to a person says nope can’t help. Only way to speak with someone is to go there

  2. Review titled Rude and abrupt telephone manner

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by William Hoskins - Posted on 11 April 2024

I telephoned to book a blood test, shortly before midday on 11 April 2024. The manner of the person who answered the telephone was abrupt and hostile throughout. An example: She asked for the identity of my GP surgery. I gave it, and asked whether she also wanted the name of the referring GP. She said, rudely,"I asked for the surgery".There was then an issue about my NHS number. I am sure I gave it correctly but she refused initially to accept it was a valid NHS number, though eventually did so, presumably because she had misheard the first time. She just kept saying initially "That is not an Nhs number, though I was reading the correct number off the booking form. After booking the appointment she said, again rudely and without any explanation, "In future ,ring at 7, Don't ring at this time again". The whole experience was unpleasant and did not present the hospital in a welcoming or constructive light. If I had spoken to a client of mine in the same way, I would expect a complaint.

The nurse who checked my baby was really rod with me and said I know nothing and I should wait with my 11 months old baby crying for two hours. Anyway after two and half hour they didn’t see my baby girl and I was so worry about her because she couldn’t drink milk for two days and said there is more emergency and we need to wait more two hours. I just want to share my experience. Thanks a lot

  5. Review titled Very helpful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Peter Pickering - Posted on 08 January 2024

Although it was late in the afternoon just before the new year weekend the walk-in Xray team saw me quickly and when she saw something untoward on my lung the radiographer made great efforts to find a doctor to consult; that being unsuccessful she advised me strongly to go at once to Barnet Hospital A&E and sent the picture to them so that they found my triage easy. Please convey my thanks to her.

  6. Review titled Terrible walk in service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by JPS - Posted on 29 December 2023

I attended Fincley memorial walk in ctr for a minor procedure. The woman in what i assume is the triage office saw a couple of people with the door open, we could all hear their business. Then a member of staff walked in to her. They sat for at least 5mins talking about their life and saying i pay the rent and my partner pays the bills. Nothing to do with their job whilst sick people were listening and waiting to be seen. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. The manager was not available to complain to... at lunch. I hope these staff read this and are embarrassed. They should be reprimanded.

  7. Review titled Poor attitude of a member of staff (bloodtest)

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 31 December 2023

I accompanied by husband of 83 yrs old for a blood test. I was concerned that with a blood profile and ask the staff without any (name badge) to identify her name, does it require an additional specimen tube for that test. The staff with name badge replied abruptly ( I only carried out the test what the doctor asked not from anyone else) After the blood test I wanted to hand in a urine specimen, the urine sample bottle needs (name and nhs no) to be written it. She said she cannot touch the urine specimen and wants my husband to write it himself. She had gloves on and handling all the blood product taken at that time and was filling the request form. I asked her for her name she asked me why. Her behaviour was totally unprofessional. All clinical staff should have name badge, clinically qualified to carry out clinical duties including venipucture for Blood test. I am qualified registered nurse, I have never meet any staff with such attitude.

  9. Review titled Worst Blood Test Ever

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by toulon - Posted on 06 November 2023

The blood test lets this unit down. Here for a check up and had a blood test as part of it. Been having blood test for 30 years all over London and never an issue. Toing and froing and so painful in the end. I should have told her to stop. Now I’ve a sore arm and a black bruise. Never ever again. People who can’t do a procedure - should not do it. The rest of the appointment was ok but this left me sore and uncomfortable.

  10. Review titled Rude staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Katie - Posted on 04 October 2023

I arrived at the Urgent Care Centre and unfortunately they were full for the evening but the sign said you could speak to the nurse about alternative treatment options. I approached the receptionist to ask about this who immediately cut me off and directed me to a staff member speaking to some people. I waited for my turn and then when I tried to speak to the nurse she was incredible rude, dismissive and patronising. I tried to ask her for treatment tips and that someone aggravated her. At one point she went "I'm not being sarcastic but" as I pleaded with her to help me figure out how, when and where I could be seen by a doctor. I left in tears. One of the worst medical interactions I've ever had.
