Supported operating systems and browsers - NHS App help

We want as many people as possible to be able to use the NHS App. When we support an operating system or browser, that means we make sure the NHS App works correctly and you can use all the features as intended.

Supported operating systems

We support the NHS App on:

  • Android version 8 and above
  • Apple iOS version 15 and above

If your device is running on an older operating system, you may need to update it to use the NHS App. Find out how to check and update your Android version on the Google website and how to update your iOS on iPhone on the Apple website.

Supported browsers

You may need to update your web browser to the latest version to use the NHS App. We support the most commonly used versions of the following browsers:

  • Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Android WebView
  • Safari

If you cannot download the NHS App on your device

You can also log in to use NHS App services in a browser.
