What you need to log in

You do not need to download anything. We support the most commonly used web browsers.

You may need to turn JavaScript on, but most browsers have it turned on already.

If you need to turn JavaScript on

If the NHS App opens

If you're using a phone or tablet with the NHS App installed, logging in on the NHS website will automatically open the app.

Differences from the NHS App

When you log in online, you can do the same things you can do in the NHS App. The only differences are:

  • some differences in the layout
  • you cannot log in with your face or fingerprint in the same way as the NHS App (but you can use a passkey)
  • there is not an option to add appointments to the calendar on your device

Other ways to manage your health

You can download the NHS App on your phone or tablet.
