Other medicines will not usually affect how medroxyprogesterone contraceptive injections work.

Mixing medroxyprogesterone contraceptive injections with herbal remedies and supplements

Do not take St John's wort, a herbal remedy used for depression, with medroxyprogesterone contraceptive injections. It can affect the way medroxyprogesterone works.

There's not enough information to say that other complementary medicines, herbal remedies and supplements are safe to take with medroxyprogesterone contraceptive injections.
