Community Pharmacy Patient Questionnaire 2019/20

Every year we undertake an annual patient survey to enable our patients to provide valuable feedback on the services that we provide. The survey, undertaken by all community pharmacies in England, is called the Community Pharmacy Patient Questionnaire. The report of our survey results allows us to identify the areas where we are performing most strongly, the areas for improvement and the actions required to address issues raised by respondents. Our results for 2019/20 are provided here.

Free NHS Flu jabs at Day Lewis

Flu image

In addition to the private flu jab service, Day Lewis pharmacies can now offer you a free NHS flu jab if you are eligible to receive it, provided you are over 18 years of age.

If you fall into one of the groups considered to be at increased risk of contracting flu , Day Lewis may be able to offer you the Flu jab free . For example, you may obtain the flu jab free if you:-

  • Are aged over 65 (or who will be 65 by 31st March 2016)
  • Are pregnant
  • Have a chronic condition such as COPD, diabetes or heart disease
  • Care for someone who is elderly or disabled and who may be at risk if you fall ill.
If in doubt, speak to a member of our staff who will be able to advise you further.
If none of the above apply and you are not eligible for a free NHS flu jab, don't worry as you can still get the flu jab done privately at a very competitive price.

NHS Healtchecks

Healthcheck

If you’re aged between 40 and 74 and have not had a stroke or been diagnosed with heart disease, kidney disease or diabetes then you’re eligible for a free health check from your pharmacist.

Having an NHS Health Check will better prepare you for the future and will enable you to take steps to maintain or improve your health.

Why should I have an NHS health check?

As you get older the risk of developing illnesses such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney disease and certain types of dementia increases. There are also certain things that will put you at even greater risk:

  • being overweight
  • being physically inactive
  • not eating healthily
  • smoking
  • drinking too much alcohol
  • high blood pressure
  • high cholesterol.

Both men and women are at risk but the good news is that these conditions can often be treated. The NHS Health Check will help you and your pharmacist identify your risk earlier

Contact us today to book your free check or just call in. For more information , click on the link below.

Electronic Prescription Service

This pharmacy offers the Electronic Prescription Service, which allows you to choose or “nominate” a pharmacy to get your medicines or appliances from. Your GP then sends your prescription electronically to the place you have nominated, this means:

  • If you collect your repeat prescriptions from your GP you will not have to visit your GP practice to pick up your paper prescription, saving you time.
  • You will have more choice about where to get your medicines from because they can be collected from a pharmacy near to where you live, work or shop.
  • You may not have to wait as long at the pharmacy as your repeat prescriptions could be prepared before you arrive.
