IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE CORONOVIRUS OUTBREAK - SEE BELOW

During the current Coronovirus outbreak we are making every effort to stay open and maintain our pharmaceutical service. Currently our opening hours remain unchanged. However as things develop we may need to make alterations to our usual opening hours so please check this site regularly for any updates.

If we are required to close while COVID testing is carried out we will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so. This will hopefully be within 48hours. If you require your usual medication within this timescale you may need to contact your surgery to arrange an additional prescription to collect from either Helmsley or Pickering Pharmacy.

PLEASE ORDER YOUR PRESCRIPTION IN GOOD TIME AND ALLOW 3-4 DAYS BEFORE COLLECTION TO GIVE US SUFFICIENT TIME TO DO OUR JOB. This will also reduce the impact on you should we need to close for testing.

We are now serving one customer at a time in the shop to allow us to maintain social distancing recommendations. This is to protect both our customers and our staff. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Maintenance of our service to you and staying open remain our priorities at this challenging time.

If you are self isolating and need medication delivering there are several options open to you. Firstly if you have a relative, friend or neighbour who is not at risk and is happy to collect medication for you then please use this option. An alternative is to contact one of the local volunteer run groups which are now operating in Kikby and several of the outlying villages. Finally, if you have no-one to help please call us and we will ensure you receive the medication that you need.

Community Pharmacy Patient Questionnaire 2019/20

Every year we undertake an annual patient survey to enable our patients to provide valuable feedback on the services that we provide. The survey, undertaken by all community pharmacies in England, is called the Community Pharmacy Patient Questionnaire. The report of our survey results allows us to identify the areas where we are performing most strongly, the areas for improvement and the actions required to address issues raised by respondents. Our results for 2019/20 are provided here.

Electronic Prescription Service

This pharmacy offers the Electronic Prescription Service, which allows you to choose or “nominate” a pharmacy to get your medicines or appliances from. Your GP then sends your prescription electronically to the place you have nominated, this means:

  • If you collect your repeat prescriptions from your GP you will not have to visit your GP practice to pick up your paper prescription, saving you time.
  • You will have more choice about where to get your medicines from because they can be collected from a pharmacy near to where you live, work or shop.
  • You may not have to wait as long at the pharmacy as your repeat prescriptions could be prepared before you arrive.
