Overview

D & K Chemist is a long-established pharmacy that has been providing services to the good people of Moston for more than 30 years (some of our more senior customers still remember the days when the pharmacy traded under the former guise of Krebs!). Although it possesses a traditional olde-world feel - as exemplified by the many original fixtures and fittings on display - the pharmacy has been quick to embrace the introduction of new technology, enabling our keen and friendly staff to offer a number of key services such as Medicine Use Reviews, New Medicine Service (both free of charge), the Minor Ailment Scheme, and the Electronic Prescription Service - all for the benefit and convenience of our customers.

D&K Pharmacy Survey 2019

Every year we undertake an annual patient survey to enable our patients to provide valuable feedback on the services we provide. The survey, undertaken by all community pharmacies in England, is called the Community Pharmacy Patient Questionnaire. The results from the survey can be used to identify those areas where we are performing most strongly but also, perhaps more importantly, can highlight those areas that patients have identified as being in need of improvement. The results for the 2019 survey are provided here.

Electronic Prescription Service

This pharmacy offers the Electronic Prescription Service, which allows you to choose or “nominate” a pharmacy to get your medicines or appliances from. Your GP then sends your prescription electronically to the place you have nominated, this means:

  • If you collect your repeat prescriptions from your GP you will not have to visit your GP practice to pick up your paper prescription, saving you time.
  • You will have more choice about where to get your medicines from because they can be collected from a pharmacy near to where you live, work or shop.
  • You may not have to wait as long at the pharmacy as your repeat prescriptions could be prepared before you arrive.
