What we do
We provide a rehabilitation-focused inpatient approach to care. There are 40 beds available and the hospital takes patients directly from their own homes, and from the acute Trusts. We are able to provide end of life and stroke care.
Our aim is to help patients regain their independence where appropriate, and to teach them coping strategies, for example after a stroke. Staff work in partnership with the patient, carer and relatives to ensure all aspects of care, including assessment of needs on admission, joint goal setting, planning, implementation and evaluation of care, are effective.
Other services at Sheppey Community Hospital include a minor injury unit, X-ray department and outpatient clinics. and many other community based teams.
