Queen visit's NNUH ward

We have 27 modern wards of a bright and airy design. Each ward normally has 36 beds with 12 of them in individual en-suite rooms and the rest in four six-bedded bays. Each bay is single sex (with the exception of critical or emergency care areas). Each ward also has a day room for patients and visitors. Patients have access to a bedside paid-for telephone system and a ward payphone.

Big C Cancer Information Centre at NNUH

Big C Cancer Information Centre - providing information and support to anyone affacted by cancer. Open Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm. Call 01603 286112 (answerphone out of hours.)

Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) - call 01603 289036 (answerphone out of hours.)

Bereavement advisers can also provide initial support and help to families of patients who have died in hospital. Open Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4pm and 9.30am to 3pm on Saturday. Call 01603 287165.

NNUH Chapel

Our full-time Chaplaincy service works to provide pastoral, spiritual and religious care for people of all faiths and backgrounds. You can ask hospital staff to contact a Chaplain for you or call 01603 287470 and leave a message. A Chaplain is always on call 24 hours a day.

The hospital Chapel is on Level One of the Centre Block and is always open for private prayer or quiet reflection. Any one of any faith can use the Chapel and there is also a multi-faith prayer room with washing facilities available.

Communion services are held in the Chapel at 1pm on Thursdays and at 10.30am on Sunday; paryers are also held each day.
