Wards at Castle Hill

Castle Hill is a large open site in a rural setting in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Our wards are modern and meet current infection prevention and control as well as privacy and dignity standards.Our new buildings house a large proportion of Single bedded accomodation.

Social workers work alongside the nursing team to help patients, their partners, families and carers with personal and practical difficulties.

A member of staff caring for you may suggest that you see a social worker. We will arrange for you to see a social worker at your request.

The Trust Chaplins

The Trust employs full and part-time hospital chaplains, who represent all the main Christian churches. They regularly make informal visits to the wards. If you wish to see a chaplain more urgently, please ask a member of the ward care team.
Hospital chaplains can make contact with leaders of other faith communities in the area, such as Jewish, Muslim and Hindu . For more information click here

Chez Hey Cardiac

The Hospital has a number of outlets where food and drink can be purchased. 

Hot food is available in  Nightingales restaurant.

Catering facilities can also be found in Wilber’s café near the main hospital reception, Chez Hey cafés  in the Cardiothoracic building and in the Queen’s Centre .

 Vending machines are located around the site.  There are shops in the main hospital reception area and in the Queen’s Centre  

A pharmacy carries a limited range of  medicines and is located near Ward 10.

Car parking is available.There is a charge for parking. There are designated disabled spaces and disabled drivers are asked not to park on double yellow lines on the hospital site.

  • £5.00 for over 2 hours (maximum stay 6 hours).
