Located on the outskirts of the rural village of Hothfield in Kent, Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre is a specialist provider of person-centred rehabilitation, care and support to both male and female adults (aged 18 years and over) with brain injuries or other complex neurological conditions.
Situated within 12 acres, our service offers intense rehabilitation for adults in the post-acute phase following a brain injury right through to step-down independent supported living.
Within Hothfield village itself and within walking distance, there is a local post office, a general store and the 13th Century Parish Church of St Margaret. Three miles from Hothfield lies the busy town of Ashford with its numerous shops and leisure facilities. Our rural location is ideally suited to those who enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside but who may also still wish to enjoy a wider range of local attractions and amenities
Our service has been designed to care for both male and female adults aged 18 years and over, who are medically stable, with a range of neurological conditions including, but not limited to: Acquired Brain Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury, Huntington’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, Guillain-Barre Syndrome and Spinal Injury. The team at Hothfield are also experienced in managing other associated needs such as, enteral feeding, specialist spasticity management, PEG feeds, skin integrity problems and patients in a minimally conscious state who require arousal assessment programmes.
There are three units located on our Hothfield Manor site, including the original Manor House, the Neuro Rehab Unit and seven Transitional Living Bungalows. Together they provide the following distinct services: Intensive specialist rehabilitation, slow stream rehabilitation, complex disability management, neuropalliative care and respite care.
