Croydon Talking Therapies (IAPT )is a free and confidential NHS service provided by the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

Croydon Talking Therapies (IAPT) offer a range of psychological therapies to adults 17 years and over, who are registered with a Croydon GP.

IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) is a national programme that was created in 2005 after it was recognised that a very large percentage of the population suffer with problems like depression and anxiety at some point in their lives. Each county and London borough have their own local IAPT service that provided evidence based treatment for common problems like these.

You can self refer to the Croydon  Talking Therapies (IAPT) by completing an online form at There is a space for you to include the best time for us to call you for an initial telephone assessment which can take up to 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can call and register your interest over the phone or you can speak to your GP who can refer you.
