Derbyshire County Council (DCC) provide Home Care Services enabling individuals to remain living in their own home and maintaining independence.
Support is available 7 days per week between the hours of 7am and 10pm (depending on assessed need) to people who through frailty, disability, mental ill health or general ill health, meet the eligibility criteria. This includes help to carers who are providing substantial personal care and support to partners, relatives or friends.
Services may include support with washing, dressing, assisting with meals, assisting with movement (eg. From bed to a chair), practical tasks (eg shopping), support with finances, support for carers (eg. Sitting services), assistance with medication, etc., as part of a care package.
We have specialist teams supporting living with dementia both at times of crisis and through mainstream services for ongoing care. We work closely with partner agencies such as community health and mental health teams.
We have offices around the county providing services local to you, open 7am to 6pm and with Call Derbyshire providing 24/7 out-of-hours contact.
We have robust recruitment processes, ensuring all necessary checks and training are undertaken before staff start working with clients. Staff work flexibly based on service need and within health and safety guidelines. They work to your personal service plan, which specifies how you want your care to be delivered. You will receive a weekly schedule of the visits you will receive.
