Emergency Supply of Medication

Visiting on holiday and forgotten your medication, then we can in most circumstances supply an emergence supply to you.  We wlll need to contact your own GP to confirm the medication requirements but call in and speak to our staff for more information.  We can use what is called the Summary Care Record which most patients have with their GP this will enable us to check your medical condition and supply the medicines that you may have forgotten.

Travel Advice

Planning to travel abroad then call in and get the latest advice on Malaria and Innoculations required for the areas you may be visiting.  We are able to supply malaria prophylaxis medication and give advice on self care during your holiday.  We also stock products for your trip including sun creams, and other travel products.

Electronic Prescription Service

This pharmacy offers the Electronic Prescription Service, which allows you to choose or “nominate” a pharmacy to get your medicines or appliances from. Your GP then sends your prescription electronically to the place you have nominated, this means:

  • If you collect your repeat prescriptions from your GP you will not have to visit your GP practice to pick up your paper prescription, saving you time.
  • You will have more choice about where to get your medicines from because they can be collected from a pharmacy near to where you live, work or shop.
  • You may not have to wait as long at the pharmacy as your repeat prescriptions could be prepared before you arrive.
