Prospect Park Hospital is the main hospital for people in Berkshire who suffer from mental illness.
The hospital provides a number of admission wards, a therapeutic day service, a specialist unit for people with learning disabilities, specialist wards for older people, and both high dependency and rehabilitation wards.
Please note that there are no A&E facilities at Prospect Park Hospital.
The wards at Prospect Park include:
Bluebell Ward - Adult admission ward for people with mental illness. The ward caters for people age 18 years and over but can take 16 and 17 year olds in special circumstances.
Daisy Ward - Adult admission ward for people with mental illness. The ward caters for people age 18 years and over but can take 16 and 17 year olds in special circumstances.
Rose Ward - Adult admission ward for people with mental illness. The ward caters for people age 18 years and over but can take 16 and 17 year olds in special circumstances.
Snowdrop Ward – Adult admission ward for people with mental illness. The ward caters for people age 18 years and over but can take 16 and 17 year olds in special circumstances.
Sorrel Ward – Psychiatric Intensive Care ward for adults with mental illness.
Rowan Ward - Specialist dementia Ward. It is a needs led ward so admission is not age based.
Orchid Ward – Functional older adult assessment ward for people with mental illness. It is a needs led ward so admission is not age based.
