How to get your test results

Results will be given face to face during a routine appointment or over the phone (between 9:00-17:00).

Blood results normally take 7 days to come back.

Cervical Smears – Anyone who has a smear carried out at the surgery will receive their results by letter either from the practice or the hospital. This will tell you the result and follow-up arrangements. If you have not heard after eight weeks please ring reception and we will chase the result.

Pregnancy Tests – the doctor or nurse will make arrangements with you for these results.

Other Investigations – These will be given personally, by the doctor or the nurse, at a follow-up appointment or by letter

How to get a prescription

Repeat prescription requests can either be dropped into the surgery during opening hours or by completing the on line form at

Please allow 48hrs before collecting your prescription from reception. There may be occasions when the doctors will need to see you before issuing a repeat prescription. We can only process repeat prescriptions, not requests for new medications. If you do require a new medication you will need to book an appointment or speak to one of our doctors on the telephone.

Our approach to your healthcare

Our ambition is to offer the highest standard of care, in even the most deprived communities. Our work with challenged patient groups, such as the homeless makes us believe this is possible. We also believe that if we aspire to genuinely "make a difference" for patients then others who feel similarly will want to join us.

The Hurley Group started this process in 2006 by transforming the clinical care provided by a single practice in the heart of Peckham, and in a few short years we have grown into a team of over 250 doctors, nurses and managers providing care across 15 practices, four walk-in centres and 3 A&E Departments.

Central to our philosophy is the provision of an exceptional quality of care. We encourage all clinicians to attain the highest standard within their own profession. We closely monitor the performance of each service within the Group to ensure patients receive the best service possible

How to register

We are accepting new patients who live in our practice area. This is the area bounded by the Isle of Dogs plus into Limehouse Basin to the West and Virginia Quay to the East.  You can register in person at the Practice or on-line via our web site When you register, we will ask you to make an appointment to see either the practice nurse (assistant practitioner/healthcare assistant) for a new patient health check. This will make sure that our records are accurate and all routine checks to promote your health and wellbeing (such as blood pressure/smear tests/mammograms) are up-to-date. This can be at your convenience and does not preclude or delay access to our clinical services.

How to make an appointment
