Walk In Services

Who can use the Walk In? Do I have to change my doctor if I do?
Poeple living in the Levenshulme area can register as a patient with us. You can find out more about registering on the Register section of this site.
In addition Hawthorn Medical Centre has a walk in facility run by GP's and Advanced Nurse Practitioners. The walk in clinics are for urgent on the day acute care, no-appointment necessary, turn up and wait to be seen.
Our Walk In Clinic Times
There will be periods in the day which tend to be busier than others. During these times the waiting time to see a Doctor/Nurse could be long. If we expect there to be a considerable wait, we will let you know when you book in with reception. Ocassionally for clinical safety reasons or toward the end of the day we stop addiing patients to the waiting list.
Walk in generally open throughout the day.
It is advisable to telephone in advance to check waiting times.
What do I need to bring?
You do not need to bring anything with you to be able to use the centre as a walk-in patient. However when you attend the centre, we will need you to provide us with some basic information about yourself.
