Coffee/Tea Morning at Abingdon FHCC

Hi to all Patients,                                                             Abingdon Family Health Care Centre will be arranging a coffee afternoon for patients to come along to the surgery, have a chat, make new friends and have a coffee/tea and biscuits. The Practice want to reach out to all patients. It can be very lonely times for some people. Patients that may feel isolated or may just want to socialise with others or simply you just want a catch up with others. A coffee morning/afternoon has been arranged for Thurs 9th Feb 2017 between 1:00pm - 2:30pm. Hope you can make it. See you soon.

Online Access to Book your own Appointments

The Practice can confirmn that they offer online access for any patients that have an email address and who have access to a computer. By registering at the practice for online access this allows you to book your own appointments online, it allows you to request your own repeat medication online and also allows you to view your medical records online. To register, please bring to the surgery a Utility bill and also a photographic ID such as a driving licence or passport.  This will be scanned onto your medical records as consent received.

Ask at reception for more details. Dont forget to bring 2 forms of ID with you to the surgery.

Allocated & Named GP for all Patients

You may be aware that from April 2016 all practices are required to provide all of their patients a named GP who will have overall responsibility for your care and support that our clinicans can provide you. 

All patients have now been allocated and informed of their named GP at Abingdon FHCC. If you have forgotten or unsure as to who is your named GP. just ask at reception for details.

Please note that having a named GP does not prevent you from seeing any other GP in the practice. 

You do not need to take any further action, but if you have any questions, or wish to discuss this further with us, please contact the Practice Manager Joanne Murphy on 0151 226 1501

New and Exciting Things

The Practice are pleased to announce a new Practice Manager to Abingdon Family Healthcare Centre as from 15th FEB 2016 - Joanne Murphy. Any questions, queries, complaints, compliments, suggestions, Please come and see me in the surgery or contact me directly via email to joanne.murphy2@livgp.nhs.uk or by ringing the surgery on 0151 226 1501. Please refer to the Practice news below and what 's happening in your practice:-

Patient can now sign up for patient online access. This allows you to book your appointments online, you can request your medication online as well as being able to view your medical records online. Ask at reception for details.

Also

The Practice are going live with EPS2 on 29th Mar 16. This system allows all of your repeat medication to be sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy. You can request your medication in the normal way, by completing the right hand side of the prescription or if you so choose, you can request to register for care of the chemist. The chemist can then request your repeat medication every 28 days on your behalf. Ask at reception for details.

Why not join our Patient Participation Group Meeting (PPG). We need patients feedback on how the Practice is run and how our patients can help and support the Practice in improving its services to all of our patients. We have a meeting scheduled for 30th March 2016 at 1:30pm at Abingdon. Please come along and make a difference to patients lives.
