Speakeasy makes a positive difference to the lives of people who have aphasia & their carers. Based in Bury but covering the North West we provide support, advice and information, therapy activity and opportunity to improve communication, develop confidence, and reconnect with our communities.  Our services are created by and for people with aphasia and specialist speech and language therapists.

Opening times

We offer a range of online and face to face support and activity each week and throughout the year. Dates and times vary. Up to date information can be obtained by contacting our office or checking the website.

Within travelling distance of Bury for face to face support, and wider for virtual support

Target group

Members who have aphasia and carers of people with aphasia, and anyone wishing to join Friends of Speakeasy

Referral method

People who have had a stroke or head injury who suspect they may have a communication difficulty can self refer or refer via a speech and language therapist, their GP or hospital
