The Southmead Project provides free counselling and support for survivors of abuse and addiction of all genders, aged 18 years and above, who live in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES.

They provide long-term counselling for survivors who have experienced recent or historic abuse, including sexual, physical or emotional abuse, domestic violence or neglect, and a Nexus counselling service for survivors of abuse who currently have an addiction to drugs or alcohol. They run a community based Active Recovery Project for people who are in or have completed counselling, and a Family Support group for people affected by another family member's drug or alcohol use.

Opening times

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Family Support Group on Wednesdays at 7-9pm for anyone who supports or is affected by someone else's addiction to drugs or alcohol - please call us on 0117 9506022 before your first visit.

Self-referral or professional referral by phone, email or post for counselling. NB. Nexus referral by professional only.
