About

Search is a Neighbourhood Charity based in Benwell, We promote and support the Health, Wealth and Wellbeing of older people in Newcastle’s west end. We are a registered Charity (number 1159907) we have board of volunteer trustees. Local older people are consulted and involved in the development of all Search’s work.

We offer a range of support services, community health activities, learning and leisure opportunities, lunch clubs,  advice and help with claiming benefits and accessing services. Most of our services are people aged 50 and over. We cover the both the Inner and Outer West of Newcastle.

Monday to Friday 9am - 4.30pm

Disabled access. If you have difficulty getting out of the house we may be able to make a home visit to help you with your enquiry.
