About

The Institute of Podiatrists is a professional body for podiatrists in the UK, setting academic and clinical standards, promoting research and education, and raising awareness of foot health. Podiatrists are regulated professionals who are experts in assessing, diagnosing, and treating conditions, injuries diseases and traumas of the foot and lower limb. Podiatrists also prevent, manage and correct foot irregularities, relieve pain, treat infection, and keep people of all ages mobile and active. Podiatrists (also known as chiropodists) are regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and work in the NHS and independent/private sectors.
