About
Opieka aims to promote the relief of elderly and disabled persons in Derby, primarily those originating from Poland or the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and their decendants, by associating the local authorities voluntary organisation and the local inhabitants. Opieka provides a Luncheon Club as well as a befriending service which involves visiting housebound Senior citizens in their own homes or nursing homes or hospitals and helping them with any needs they have.
