There are several easy ways to book your free NHS Health Check at a time and location that's convenient for you. You can enquire with your registered GP surgery or you can book online with REED Wellbeing (https://norfolkhealthchecks.reedwellbeing.com/) or call them on 0808 175 0413. Some pharmacies offer NHS Health Checks you can ask at your local pharmacy for availability.
Referral method
If you are 40-74 years old without a pre-existing condition are registered with a Norfolk GP surgery or a Norfolk resident you should receive a letter or text inviting you for a free NHS Health Check every 5 years. Once you get your invitation follow the instructions to book your appointment. You can also ask your GP surgery to see if you are eligible or visit the Norfolk County Council NHS Health Check webpage (https://www.norfolk.gov.uk/healthcheck) for more information and booking options.
Description of service
The NHS Health Check is a simple check of your heart health. Aimed at adults in England aged 40 to 74, it checks your vascular or circulatory health and works out your risk of developing some of the most disabling – but preventable – illnesses. It is free of charge, including any follow-up tests or appointments.
