About

Nordoff Robbins is a national music charity dedicated to transforming the lives of children and adults affected by illness, disability, trauma or isolation. It is the UK's largest specialist provider of music therapy to vulnerable people of all ages and also runs music and health projects, training and research in music therapy.

When people are isolated by illness, disability or trauma, they often find it difficult to communicate or take part in everyday life. Music can help them find a voice, and can build a bridge to social contact. It helps them feel emotion and joy, connect with their families, and achieve things that they may not otherwise even attempt.

Carers of vulnerable people may also benefit from music therapy, either by attending with the cared-for person, or by themselves for personal support.
