About
Greenwich Mencap provides a range of support services to adults, children and young people with learning disabilities, including direct support , information and advocacy and activities such as a games nights and pub nights. The Inclusion project supports children and young people to access mainstream leisure activities. Gymtastics is a project in partnership with a local leisure centre for children and young people. The Greenlights Project works with families to devise strategies to manage behaviour that challenges. The Riverwood project is a training workshop for adults, producing items made from reclaimed wood that can be sold. Greenwich Mencap is a membership organisation which supports people with learning disabilites and their families to ensure they have a voice in local and national issues.

Carers and people with a learning disability who are resident in, or the responsibility of, the borough of Greenwich.

Referral method
Referrals come from the Community Learning Disability Team, schools, other voluntary agencies, etc. People can also self-refer. We can support people to refer themselves to the Community Learning Disability Team.
