You are only entitled to an NHS Health Check from the local authority in which you live.This service is available to eligible residents or patients registered to a GP in this catchment area.
Referral method
If you are a Lambeth resident and/or are registered with a Lambeth GP and you meet the criteria below then you can have an NHS health check at any time. You must:
be between 40-75 years old
have not already been diagnosed with heart disease diabetes kidney disease or had a stroke
have not had an NHS health check in the last five years.
Description of service
The NHS Health Check is a simple check of your heart health. Aimed at adults in England aged 40 to 74, it checks your vascular or circulatory health and works out your risk of developing some of the most disabling – but preventable – illnesses. It is free of charge, including any follow-up tests or appointments.
