The NHS Health Check service is available at GP Practices in Liverpool.

Referral method

If you are 40-74 years old without a pre-existing condition and are registered with a GP you will be invited to attend for a free NHS Health Check every 5 years. When you receive your invitation please follow the instructions to book your appointment. You can also ask your GP surgery to see if you are eligible for an NHS Health Check and book an appointment.

Description of service

The NHS Health Check is a simple check of your heart health. Aimed at adults in England aged 40 to 74, it checks your vascular or circulatory health and works out your risk of developing some of the most disabling – but preventable – illnesses. It is free of charge, including any follow-up tests or appointments.
