About

We are SENDIASS, the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information, Advice and Support Service.

We offer free, impartial, and confidential information, advice and support on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) for children and young people aged 0 - 25, their families, and professionals across Hertfordshire.

Our service helps families navigate the SEND system, understand their rights, make informed choices, and feel empowered when making decisions about education, health and social care. We aim to strengthen engagement and communication between families, schools, the local authority and other agencies to help secure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.

We can provide information, advice and support on:

· SEN Support

· Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), including assessments and reviews

· Exclusions, key transitions, appeals and complaints

· Meetings with schools, colleges, the local authority and other professionals

· Connecting families with relevant services, organisations and sources of support

Opening times

Monday to Thursday 9.30am – 3pm

Friday 9.30am – 2.00pm
