About
Family Matters is a registered Charity that provides specialist support services for all survivors of rape and sexual abuse in Kent.
Therapy:
Family Matters offers therapy to adults and children. The sexual violence can be recent or historic; it can be reported to the police or not reported. As a charity our services are subject to funding and at present, we are funded to offer therapy to clients living within Kent or the London Borough of Bexley. Our therapy involves up to 12 one to one sessions (1 session a week for 50 minutes).
ISVA:
Family Matters provide Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVA’S) support for both children and adults. The ISVA’s are specially trained to provide impartial emotional and practical support tailored to the needs of the survivor. Assistance is offered to help survivors through the criminal justice system, from reporting to police through to court. Information, support and signposting can still be provided even if the sexual violence has not been reported to the police. As a charity our services are subject to funding and at present, we are funded to offer the ISVA service to survivors living within Kent.
