Carer benefits and legal services East Riding Of Yorkshire Carers Support Service

About

Our services are available to all unpaid adult carers, who provide regular and substantial support to an adult who lives in East Riding of Yorkshire, regardless of where they themselves live, who has completed the short carers assessment, and has been entered onto the carers register.

A carer spends a significant proportion of their life providing unpaid support to family or potentially friends. This could be caring for a relative, partner or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or substance misuse problems. Carers provide emotional, personal, practical and supervisory support.

Care workers, or care assistants, who are employed to provide regular care are not eligible for carers' support services.

If you are unsure whether you are eligible, please contact us.
