About

CamSight is a charity that supports people living with low vision and blindness across Cambridgeshire. CamSight provides one-to-one support to help people access welfare benefits, concessions and grants, as well as signposting and advocacy. They carry out comprehensive magnification and lighting assessments, deliver equipment demonstrations, and offer advice on accessibility features on electronic devices. Their registered counsellors administer emotional support and counselling for those struggling with the impact of their sight loss, while their volunteer befrienders provide companionship through home visits and regular telephone calls. CamSight run 16 monthly peer support groups across the county, creating a welcoming space for members to share experiences, exchange ideas, and hear from guest speakers.
