As a carer you have the right to an assessment. You can ask for this even if the person you care for doesn't receive any services. This is a meeting where you can talk about how caring affects you (and your family) and find out what help and support is available. It is not about how well you are looking after your friend or relative, only what extra help and support you may need. It is an opportunity for us to find out how we can help you.
