About

Bolton Toy Library is a registered Charity providing therapeutic play and loaning play resources for (0-19). We have a wide range of specialised resources for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) /additional needs. These are available for use in their home or setting to help improve their development and outcomes. We support Parents/Carers/Practitioners and Families by offering a warm welcome, access to safe play space where children and families meet, share their experiences and gain ongoing support. Our Team of Staff and Volunteers provide an Outreach service in venues across Bolton, we offer a delivery/collection service to parents with disabilities/those who may need additional support. We have Volunteer opportunities for people who want to help others in their community.

Opening times

Tuesday/Wednesday 9-30-5pm Thursday 9-1pm (I:I appointments are available)

Access

  • We are situated in the Harvey Centre a 15 minute walk from Bolton Town Centre
  • our Base is on the Ground Floor
  • with full disabled access and access to disabled toilet.

Parents, Grandparents, Foster Carers, Childminders & Childcare providers can borrow play resources and special needs play equipment.

Referral method

Self-referral/Health Visitor/Disability Officer/Key Worker/Support Worker/Social Worker and other agencies.
