About
Conflict and persecution in Afghanistan have led to a high number of refugees fleeing their homeland and claiming asylum in the UK. The road to integration into British society is a challenging one, and many immigrants often feel intimidated, isolated and helpless. They often find huge barriers to claiming asylum due to a lack of understanding of the process or limited English language skills. The Afghan Association seeks to alleviate these problems and provide assistance to asylum seekers and other members of the Afghan community in London. We hope that our services and activities will help clients integrate into British society whilst conserving their own cultural identity through the services and cultural events that we offer.
Afghan Association of London (Harrow) offers a comprehensive advice and referral service to the Afghan community. Topics include immigration, housing, welfare benefits and employment.
