The Adhar Project was set up in 1989 and is a registered charity. "Adhar" originates from the Indian language and means "support". Trustees manage the project and the management committee is made up of professionals from a range of background and diversity, who work within social care/health and the independent sector.

Mental Health services - Support provided to adults of South Asian communities with mental health difficulties. Family Intervention - Support to families who have young children under the age of 18. Young Carers - Support to young carers from the age of 8 to 18. Adult Carers - Meets once a month, provides information, support and training to adult carers. Charnwood Project - Drop-in and befriending services in Loughborough, open to all residents.
