Action on Pain (AOP) is run entirely by volunteers who either have chronic pain or are affected by it. PainLine, their telephone helpline, has developed a reputation of giving advice that is straight and down-to-earth as well as being realistic. AOP promotes the positive side of living with chronic pain through its range of publications and the information it provides via the website.
