Spent 24 hours in Wensleydale ward after surgery. Great staff from catering to consultant always kept you informed. Could not fault my experience.

My elderly mother fell and broke her hip and she ended up in A&E for assessment. Although her stay in the department was a long one before moving to a ward (10 hrs), it was clear to see just how busy and stretched all the staff and departments were, yet the nursing staff, radiology team, doctors and reception staff were all so kind and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Mum also has Alzheimer’s and the staff were very caring and compassionate. Thank you.

Awful staff at the A&E reception, zero care for patients and just outright rude. GP out of hours is an absolute shambles aswell, with no problem resolved after a 7 hour wait. Disgusting service and in future I will be heading over to York for treatment

Had to have some dental surgery to remove some rogue tooth shards - staff were very personable, friendly, and put me totally at ease. When it came to the surgery it was done with care and the utmost professionalism, and I would endure it again in a heartbeat, should it ever be necessary. I cannot commend the staff highly enough. Thank you!

On the 2nd of June 2022 I was admited at 2-00 am with sever pain due to a blocked catherter, within 30 minutes I was treated by the nursing staff on duty and they were fantastic, to the 3 nurses involved I thank them all, I was a visitor to Harrogate at the time and the treatment I received was first class, thank you all at the A&E department during these dificult times,

Only waited 9 days from a GP referral for an urgent MRI. Initially rang the department for an appointment and they called me back and fitted me in as quickly as they could. The process within the hospital was very slick and I barely had to wait any time at all - as this was a Saturday this was even more impressive. The rainbow bridge was blocked off so a passing nurse literally took me via a diversion to the waiting area and was very helpful. The MRI staff were friendly, professional and informative - the whole experience was very reassuring and they should be commended for their efforts.

Went in for a trabaculectomy, which is every bit as scary as it sounds. The whole thing - done in day surgery - turned out to be as pleasant an experience as having one's eyeball sliced open ever can be. All the staff were friendly, professional, caring and considerate, and with luck my sight is saved. Cannot thank you all enough!
