I went to the A and E department at west Cornwall due to being in severe constipation pain for the past 4 days and the laxative which had been prescribed by my GP wasn’t working I know of another stronger laxative that has worked before, so when it was my turn to see the doctor I explained my situation and explained that the aforementioned laxative was what I needed they however wanted to start me off on the lowest form of laxatives which I had been on for years previously and never worked whereas the one I had asked for definitely worked he said he wouldn’t prescribe me that and that there is a process to follow I duly refused because it would have just made me suffer for 3 more days and not solve the problem I said I will go to treliske and see what they say he said ok and just walked off I feel that it was very rude of him and the level of service was appalling and every time I’m I’ll I’m just going to make the trip up to treliske instead as they prescribed me the exact laxative I asked for within 3 hours of me getting there the staff at treliske are fantastic and can’t thank them enough but the doctor at west Cornwall was shocking.

On holiday and injured my foot. All the staff I met were kind and friendly. Was seen, treated, and assessed quickly and professionally. I am very grateful. Thank you.

I walked into Urgent Care with chest pains and was seen immediately. The staff were all friendly, caring and efficient, wasting no time, but also reassuring me. My bloods were taken and tested and my diagnosis explained to me in detail. I was also advised that should I have any worries, I could always go back to the Urgent Care unit. It was outstanding NHS care, I was extremely grateful and happy with it.

This is with the regard to the phlebotomy service who allowed a client who has drug and alcohol issues to attend without an appointment. They were sympathetic to the fact there had been many failed attempts and that he can be volatile. This has helped the client and our service greatly. Thank you.

another visit to A and E for acute asthma. Seen within minutes of arrival. Loads of tests carried out. As always the staff were excellent and very thorough. I:t was a long stay so food was provided plus two cups of tea. What more could you want. Where would we be without this wonderful little hospital

The staff that attended to me at the A & E department West Cornwall Hospital Penzance were absolutely wonderful, kind, caring, helpful and informative. Couldn’t have got better treatment anywhere else. Thank you all for your kindness

My daughter was struggling with a chest infection and breathing difficulties. Her condition was worsening so she had no choice but to seek medical assistance. The staff at Urgent Care were brilliant. They carried out the necessary tests including a chest X-ray . They were both professional and thorough . She received some treatment with a nebuliser and they established the best treatment option for her, based on her test results. I don’t believe she could have received better care anywhere else . The care and professionalism was beyond superlatives. Thank you to all of the staff who work there.

Two days in urgent care both times Doctors Nurses receptionist and scan unit wonderful, professional and kind. Disgusted that one doctor on duty they need a rest as well . They give of their very best at all times.
