    I am very disappointed with the service I received from this medical practice. I have been suffering from ear issues for a while and I needed to speak to a doctor urgently. However, I could not get a call back from them despite leaving several messages. I also tried to book an appointment online, but they were always full within minutes of opening at 8am. This is very unprofessional and unacceptable. I feel that this practice has taken on too many patients and cannot provide adequate care for them. They should either hire more staff or limit their intake of new patients. I do not recommend this practice to anyone who needs timely and quality medical attention.

    You just can't get an appointment here...you call at 8 with at least 20+ more people in front of you so by the time you get someone to answer the phone there is never ever any appointments left..you can't book in advance to see your doctor..call backs hardly ever get made...

    Receptionists are practitioners are always very friendly and understanding both over the phone and in person. Have been going in for mental health related services over the last few months, and whilst at first I was apprehensive; the staff here at Victoria medical centre are so accommodating and sympathetic, it's really helped me get going in the right direction.

    I have never in my life known it to be so difficult to get an appointment with a GP. You have to queue up in the morning, by 7.30am there was already 10 people in front of me. I was told to ring when it opens at 8, but when I tried that I was 23rd in queue. When the doors open you either walk into reception or go to upstairs reception and people from behind me literally ran past me to get upstairs first (obviously more experienced dealing with this place). You can only get an appointment on the same day so if you aren't lucky enough, you have to go through the same rigmarole tomorrow. God knows what people do who aren't physically able to get there, stand for an hour in the queue etc. Admin are like the "computer says no" woman from Little Britain. When you do get an appointment, you can't choose the time so if you want to see someone face to face, you will likely have to take the whole day off work unless you have the flexibility to pop out for an hour as you can't plan ahead. This place is absurd, bordering on laughably bad but it's no laughing matter when we're dealing with people who are sick. Shame on you Vic Medical Practice, nothing super about this super clinic at all.

  5. Review titled Phone systems cut you off!

    This morning got though to recorded message 4 times only to be cut off when I press 1 for appointments. This has happened ever time over the last couple months. I have mentioned this to receptionists and the doctor. This is not due to staff shortages, this is technical problem with the phone system and should be fixed. By the time you get to speak to a receptionist you are in a very frustrated mood and highly stressed. Fix Your Phone System!

    My doctor is absolutely amazing. She always has time to listen and explain. It is a pleasure to go there. I’m not normally a fan of health facilities but VMC are an exception.

    I'm glad this practice is near to my place, very kind and caring doctors and all the other staff. Brand new building and super clean . From receptionist to all the clinical staff very professional and caring.

    Twice in the last few months, when dealing with ongoing medical problems, I have been sent a text asking me to speak to my doctor regarding my test results. On both occasions when I contacted the surgery they were unable to offer me a telephone appointment with my doctor who had requested the tests, even though she had available appointments on the following 2 days. I was then unable to procure an appointment with that doctor when phoning first thing in the morning as all appointments were already allocated. So I had to resort to arriving at the surgery well before the 8 oclock opening time to satisfactorily get a telephone appointment on that day with the doctor. Surely it should be possible to make an appointment with a Doctor who has requested you contact them when they have a available slots on a future date rather than having to try everyday to get a same day appointment until you are successful. It wastes the patients time and the surgery staff time every time you are unsuccessful. Also being offered the possibility of seeing a different Doctor to my mind creates additional work. It would make for more effective continuity of patient care and mean that another doctor would not have to spend valuable time rereading notes and checking details with the patient.

    Receptionist are polite and very helpful . when requesting Dr call they call when they say they will . This is by far the best surgery i have ever been with . even at busy times i have been able to talk to receptionist and they have dealt with my query in a very positive manner and have always been very helpful.

    I needed to get the results of two tests and the telephone message said to phone between 2pm and 5pm. I duly phoned at 4.20 to receive a recorded message that I was number 12 in the queue. I then waited an hour before the phone was answered! The receptionist was helpful and polite but surely more manpower is needed ! I just try to imagine how difficult an hour's wait for working or elderly and infirm people might be. Sorry but unacceptable service.
