    Today 3 jan is second day of asking for heartlands discharge meds to be extended as per discussion in heartlands prior to discharge. After a one and a half hour wait at surgery told can’t do, need an appt, but no appts. Spoke back with heartlands, told tablets given were to carry over from discharge 30 Dec to 2 jan when surgeries reopen, g.p will then extend. Relayed to reception ( phone and in person over 2 days) , showed no interest, locum on site not even contacted to discuss. Sent away with final answer - no meds, no appts, please leave we’re closing. So here’s a big question of accountability for the attitude of Shp , if all medical staff are aware ceasing medication or not extending medication when needed leads to, for example , antibiotic immunity and worsening of problems, then does the nhs not agree that such refusal to issue med extension as discussed on heartlands discharge is on a parr with a patient not completing the course ? By refusing to contact heartlands to resolve / seek guidance / ask - can they process the meds extension need, is as good as putting a patient on a waiting list for readmission where they will go back on the same unfit merry-go-round on a 2nd discharge? I am empathic to ratio of g.p to patients , yet it’s amazing how there’s always a space for a review appt when reviews were of no importance in lockdown, how convenient was that then. So maybe nurses could be better deployed processing prescription needs and putting ownership of booking reviews with patients. Failing that, add new phone and surgery messages along these lines - we have no appts, if you require a hearse choose option “ #tag too late “. In summery medication refused.

    Called 160 times between 08:30 and 09:00 to be constantly told they had very high call volumes and couldn’t contact me to the queue. Guess I’ll have to call 111 then.

    Ironically this website asks you to provide the date you visited this surgery, but that's the issue. You cannot actually get an appointment to see a GP there! Three days of wasted calls and am still no closer to being able to access a doctor. I guess Solihull Health Partnership are either happy to not deal with their patients or prefer for them to fill the waiting rooms of Accident &Emergency. Ever since Jacey Practice joined the Solihull Health Partnership the service has been completely hopeless. If you are in Solihull at this point I would recommend you try any other surgery before these.

    I am so grateful to all the Doctors I have either seen or spoken to over the phone at the Jacey practice for their expertise and excellent care, can’t thank them enough for helping me with my ongoing health issues. They must be so busy post covid, not forgetting the care Navigator's, so pleased I am registered with this Practice.
